Hugues from Elite Imports is returning with a few new wines to bring in the fall. We’ll be traveling from New Zealand to Paso Robles and then finally arriving in Spain.

Elite Wines imports and distributes a broad selection of artisanal wines from all over the world. The focus of this tasting will be France and Spain. 

Hugues has decades of experience in the wine industry. You won't want to miss the wealth of knowledge he has to offer us. 

Jason Haas is the owner of the famed Tablas Creek Winery in Paso Robles. His family teamed up with the Perrin family (Château de Beaucastel in Chateaunef-du-Pape) to found a terroir-driven winery in America three decades ago. Jason has been an amazing presence in the world of wine since his family bought the unique property in 1989. Dry-farmed on limestone soils, they produce some of the world’s best 'Rhone' style wines. We are very excited to have Jason lead us through a tasting of his current wines and discuss how their farming practices work hand-in-hand with the region to produce incredible, long-lived wines.

Our Executive Chef Ellie McMillen is preparing a beautiful five-course meal to show the new vintages of Vajra wines.  Francesca Vaira will be back in Millwood to host us on Saturday evening.  A trio of their 2019 Cru Barolo will be the highlight with many supporting wines from the most recent vintages.  It will be an evening not to miss!

Little Sesame 
Based in Washington, D.C., Little Sesame is

It's apple butter season, and our neighbors at Oak Springs Garden Foundation have another delectable batch of our favorite autumnal preserves available in the store now. Located in Upperville, VA, OSGF is an operating foundation dedicated to sharing the gifts and ideas of
Rachel "Bunny" Mellon.  Its mission is to support and inspire fresh thinking and bold action on the history and future of plants, including the art and culture of plants, gardens and landscapes. Made with apples grown on the property, including Winesap, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Arkansas Black, and York, these sweet and spiced preserves are delicious swirled into yogurt, on top of oatmeal, or as an accompaniment to your next cheese board! We love it with a sharp cheddar
(try Milton Prairie Breeze), nutty gouda (Farm at Doe Run's St. Malachi) or an assertive blue like gorgonzola or stilton.

Rishi Botanicals
