Richmond-based company Back Pocket Provisions is working to decrease food waste by turning less-than-perfect produce into delicious bloody mary mixes. Back Pocket works with Virginia farmers to collect their ugly but tasty produce, which most conventional markets will not accept. Better for farmers, consumers, and the planet, these mixes taste even better than they sound! Leaning into all the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors fresh summer produce has to offer, each flavor starts with the incomparable brightness of perfectly ripe tomatoes.
