Potter's Craft Cider strives to bring their Charlottesville community together around three shared passions: agriculture, fermentation, and experimentation. Fly Home Birdhouses For over a decade, Ginger and Clark have been making whimsical, hand-crafted birdhouses on their farm in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Fly Home Birdhouses are built to attract a variety of small songbirds including bluebirds, tree swallows, wrens, chickadees, finches and more. Clark builds the houses out of pine or cedar while Ginger hand cuts and welds the copper roofs. As you may be aware, Clarke County has imposed a 2% Food & Beverage Tax that is set to take effect July 1, 2021. Starting this Thursday, this mandatory local tax is applicable on all items prepared or served in-house and will appear as a separate line item on your receipt. For Locke Store, this means that all fresh and frozen housemade deli and bakery items are subject to the new tax along with our housemade snacks, spreads, dips, hot coffee, cold brew coffee, and hot tea. All food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) served at The Buttery will be subject to the new tax as well. The full text of the tax amendment can be found here.
