Jonathan is Linden’s winemaker. He came to Linden as an apprentice in 2010 with five years of experience already under his belt. He was asked to stay on at Linden as cellarmaster after his two-year apprenticeship and officially became Linden’s winemaker in 2016. Fully embracing Linden’s philosophy, Jonathan continues to spend more time in the vineyard than in the cellar.

Sarah Walsh is our resident rep for Winebow Imports and also co-owns Walsh Family Winery with her husband, Nate Walsh. Sarah comes from a background of fine dining, fine wine sales, and wine education.
This First Saturday tasting will be entirely composed of Italian wines. Each flight will feature three wines from one winery, allowing us to delve deep into the stories, people, and wine of each producer.
First Saturday Tastings include up to 12 wines and small bites prepared by Executive Chef Ellie McMillen. 10% off wine purchased from this event.

Doug was born and raised in Detroit and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Those two things explain a lot about him. After graduating, he returned to Detroit and got bit by both the restaurant and wine bug. Working in a downtown French Bistro, he tasted a white Graves, and “the lightbulb went off.”
Since then, his restaurant career has taken him all over the U.S.A., with experience in some of the country’s best restaurants. After working in Washington, D.C., Doug became a portfolio manager for Henry Wine Group, then moved into sales with Winebow, and eventually Vintage ‘59 where he is the District Sales Manager.

Kent Arendt is the Assistant Winemaker at Walsh Family Wine and the Winemaker of his own label, Boden Young. After years in data analysis, he interned at Washington State, eventually making his way back to Virginia and working for Nate Walsh. Kent has extensive knowledge in the Virginia wine world and makes a variety of styles of wine. Don’t miss the opportunity to try this Virginia wine!

Rob’s humble beginnings in wine came at his grandfather’s knee, sharing tastes of older French wine that grew into a career in the restaurant industry when his art degree didn’t provide the financial necessities. Stops cooking on Martha’s Vineyard and Vail eventually landed him in DC where he has worked as a retailer, importer, and distributor for the last 23 years. He prefers French and Italian wines generally, but has a soft spot for Oregon where they speak the same language. Lives in Arlington, VA with his wife and 3 boys.
