Join us at The Buttery!

Located in the historic cabin and adjoining terrace next door, The Buttery is a new eatery offering global and local wines, craft beer, cider, and seasonal cocktails along with farm-to-table fare from the Locke Store kitchen.

The name Buttery originates from the cabin’s roots. Historically, the term “Buttery” was a place where food and drink were stored for the provisioning of guests and passing travelers. Built in 1804 as the original storehouse in Millwood, The Buttery housed the supplies - including “butts,” or barrels, of liquor - for the laborers running the Burwell-Morgan Mill around the clock.

We look forward to hosting you on the relaxing terrace in the summer or by the cozy fire in winter to sip, savor, and socialize in this special place!
