Rosemont Brut Nature 2017

Origin: Southern Virginia
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95

Now on its sixth generation, the 450 acre Rosemont Estate has been in the Rose Family since 1858, with patriarch Stephen turning the historic family farm into a vineyard in 2003. Son Justin is the wine maker, and his wife Aubrey is their marking manager. All of their wines are 100% estate grown, produced and bottled on site. Their 2017 Sparkling White is made with Chardonel, a hybrid grape created by crossing Seyval and Chardonnay. They produce this wonderfully dry sparkling with zero dosage using the Charmat method, and it is unfiltered to give it more depth and body.

Rosemont Block A 2018

Origin: Southern Virginia
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95

After losing half of their Pinot Grigio to the rains that soaked most of the East Coast in 2018, winemaker Justin Rose decided to do a 50/50 blend with Chardonel and to name it for the site where the varietals are grown. The result is a fresh white wine with aromas of green apple, citrus, and a touch of white pepper. The palate is medium bodied with subtle hints of tropical notes and a mouth-watering finish with plenty of acidity.

Today their sons, Richard and Stéphane, run their family winery and have since converted all of the vineyards to organic. This is the estate's best-known bottling, representing an assemblage of 30 parcels that are spread over 17 hectares. The wine is crisp and fresh offering a delicious bouquet of white flower, peach, citrus and mineral aromas. Alvaro Palacios "Les Terrasses" Priorat 2016

Origin: Spain
Retail: $46.95 | Sale: $42.25

One of the original producers to rekindle the Priorat in the 90's, Alvaro has been the biodynamic leader in Spain. While originally conceived as a value wine, Les Terrasses has slowly evolved into the essence of what makes Priorat special, sourcing from 80 different vineyards in eight different villages—many of them north-facing to avoid the intense afternoon sun. The palate is round and tender while offering bright cherry and plum flavors, with notes of black olive and wild herbs. Firm tannins and gentle but bright acidity provide a graceful
definition to the wine.
