Mont-Marcal Cava Brut Reserva 2016

Origin: Spain

The Mont Marçal estate is located on a chalky hilltop five miles south of Vilafranca del Penedès overlooking the hamlet of Sant Marçal. Their vintage dated sparkling wine is fashioned after the style of those made in Champagne using the same winemaking method. The Xarello grape contributes structure, body and acidity while the Chardonnay is known to age long and elegantly to add character as it matures. The Macabeo grape adds floral notes, acidity and helps tie all the grape characteristics together in the blend. Each variety is picked and fermented separately.Second fermentation in the bottle for a minimum of 24 months on the lees in the cellar and disgorged on order for shipment.

40% Xarel-lo, 30% Macabeo, 20% Parellada, 10% Chardonnay

Ranga Ranga Sauvignon Blanc 2017

'Ranga ranga' means gentle breeze in the langauge of New Zealand's Maori people. The cooling winds of a cold Pacific ocean lie less than a mile from Simon and Vanessa Barker's vineyards. If you like your Sauvignon Blanc on the grassy, herbaceous side, then this little number is for you. A mix of melon rind, candied ginger, lime leaf, and of course, grass show on the palate. The freshness of this wine feels completely natural, the acidity perfectly integrated into a flavor of lemon zest, ready to pour with fresh-shucked oysters.

Muga Rioja Blanco 2017

A lemon-yellow colored wine with green glints which reveal its youth. On the nose, you will find clean, floral notes reminiscent of almond blossom, with accents of lime and toasted nuances. On the palate the wine is fresh with excellent acidity and a long finish, wrapping the mouth with reminders of Golden Delicious apples. It’s a perfect match for vegetable based dishes, rice, shellfish, tapas and more.

Gehricke Los Carneros Pinot Noir 2015

The deep garnet hue allures aromas of blood orange, red plums and rhubarb. With time, the spice character enters with notes of cherry pie laced with vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. At first, this wine seems savory and spice driven with clove and nutmeg. After some time, it blossoms and lays fleshy on the palate with ripe plum flavors and a dried cranberry center. Well-integrated oak rounds out the palate and carries out the finish.

The intensity continues in a mouth-filling palate and a lingering fruit and mineral finish. Calatayud is a region a short distance from Spain's most famous region, Rioja. This garnacga is produced from 40-100 year old organically farmed vines. Its fresh on the palette with black cherry, leafy, and licorice flavors.

Gehricke Russian River Zinfandel 2016

The 2016 Russian River Valley Zinfandel is a blend of old vine Zinfandel and a touch of Petite Sirah from the orange, iron-rich soil of Ponzo Vineyard. The Zinfandel on its own is fruity and jammy and Petite Sirah brings in complementary dark fruit flavors and density, resulting in a blend that is full-bodied and well-structured. Powerful spice aromas of cinnamon and black peppercorns mingle with ripe plum aromas and hints of mint chocolate. The finish is long and persistent, embodied by dark fruits and baking spices.
