Kobal Furmint 2018
Origin: Slovenia

Located in Posavje, Slovenia, the vineyards of Kobal are spread out over some of the finest winegrowing sites on the hills and slopes of the Bizeljsko-Sremic wine region. This area is a narrow strip along the northern bank of the Sava River, protected by the mountains from the harsh north winds and home to perhaps the best winegrowing conditions in the region. Kobal wines are produced from local grape varietals which are farmed in an environmentally-friendly manner. Aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and fresh apricot jump from the glass. The palate features an electric acidity and saline mineral profile highlighted by stone fruit, nuts and herbs. Enjoy with Locke cured meats or pork.

The results are simply stunning, as Florent (the winemaker) uses little to no added sulphites and other minimal intervention techniques to allow the grapes to truly speak for themselves.
