Terre dei Buth Frizzante Rosé Special Cuvée NV

Origin: Italy
Retail: $13.95 | Sale: $12.55

"Terre" means "Lands", "Buth" means "Bud" in a Venetian dialect, hence the name "Lands of buds" - you can see buds of every type come out from the characteristic gravely soil of the vineyard during Spring. Glera, which is the variety used to make Prosecco, brings the liveliness of the most famous Italian sparkling wine to this cuvée, which reaches perfection thanks to Raboso, which is an indigenous red grape of the Venetian region, well-known for its hints of red berries and smooth finish.

Dominique Piron Morgon Cote du Py 2017

Origin: France
Retail: $29.95 | Sale: $26.95

#99 of Wine Spectator's Top 100 wines of 2019! The Morgon Cru is based in the heart of Northern Beaujolais. Côte du Py is the heart of Morgon, a little hill of very old blue stone rocks - the oldest soils of Beaujolais (around 430 millions years old), with a typical blue color. Dominique Piron’s family has been growing grapes here since the 16th century, and Dominique took over the estate in 1971. Working side by side with his American wife, enologist Kristine Mary, the Pirons farm 45 hectares of vineyards scattered among several different crus in Beaujolais, namely Morgon, Chénas, Brouilly, Régnié and Moulin-à-Vent. The palate is loaded with juicy red berry, plenty of ripe cherry, and is cut with shimmering acid and mineral tension. The tannic power that is so typical of Cote du Py is beautifully interlaced with the ripe fruits.
