Triumvirate 2022

Origin: Purcellville, Virginia
Retail:  $41.95 | Sale: $37.76

From three different vineyards in the Northern Virginia area. The name is a reference to the balance of power that was struck between three Roman leaders in 60 BC: Caesar, Crassus, and Pompey. All parts, except for the Petit Verdot, were bled and fermenters were warmed to increase tannin and anthocyanin extraction. One week of extended maceration was done with the Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Aged in 40% new French Oak for 14 months.

Aromas of plum and huckleberry lead to a rich palate with dark chocolate and cocoa powdered tannins with a long finish.

34% Cab Franc, 33% Petit Verdot, 33% Merlot
