Argyle Vintage Brut 2019

Origin:Willamette Valley, Oregon
Retail:
$29.95 | Sale: $26.96

Founded in 1987, Argyle quickly stood out as a study in contrasts – honoring the deep traditions of wine and embracing innovation and experimentation; proud to be Oregonian and pulling knowledge and support from winemakers around the world. When common knowledge said a winery could produce either great still wine or great Sparkling wine, Argyle answered, “Why not both?” The backbone of Argyle’s decades of consistent high quality has been squarely built by vineyards that we have farmed for decades in the Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills AVAs. The founding winemaker, Rollin Soles, came to the Willamette Valley in the 1980's to make this wine. It is the foundation on which everything at Argyle is made. Argyle brut is always vintage dated to capture new sparkles each year. It is bottle-fermented, aged on the yeast, and ‘disgorged on demand’ in small batches to preserve vibrancy and freshness. Orchard fruits, citrus peel, and toasted brioche are framed around a creamy center and long, graceful finish.

63% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 7% Pinot Meunier

Jaine Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Origin:
Columbia Valley, Washington
Retail:
 $22.95 | Sale: $20.66

Jaine Wines was founded to produce dynamic white wine from Washington State owned by the Otis family.  In 2008, the Otis family teamed up with Matthews Winery. Their mission is to produce the purest expressions of Washington State wines. Thanks to the long sunny days and cool nights, Washington’s diurnal shift creates ideal temperatures for growing grapes. Contrary to popular belief, Columbia Valley only sees six inches of rainfall per year – just as much as the Gobi desert. The long and consistent growing season produces complex, yet vibrant world class varieties ranging from Chardonnay to Sauvignon Blanc.  Jaine focuses on single vineyards across the Columbia Valley. Vines grown in Ancient Lakes, Royal Slope, White Bluffs, and Wahluke Slope AVAs are deeply vibrant and expressive in nature. This wine was crafted from the Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes AVA. Evergreen is a sustainably farmed  high elevation vineyard with varied soil types, which contribute complexity to the wine.  Aromas of lemon grass, pineapple and thyme are enhanced by plenty of freshness and purity of fruit. Bright citrus and mineral flavors, while delicate on the palate, showcasing floral notes and steely tension. 100% Sauvignon Blanc

The Vice ‘Elise’ Chardonnay 2022

Origin: Napa Valley, California
Retail:
$34.95 | Sale: $30.46

The Vice was founded with the belief that the best wine is not the one with the highest price tag—it’s the wine that’s the most meticulously crafted. They proudly craft wine from 15 of Napa’s 16 sub-regions, and are currently the only vintner offering such a diverse portfolio of Napa Valley under one label. Their wines are crafted with minimal intervention and finished with only the minimal sulfites necessary to ensure stability in transportation and on the shelf. Founders and couple Malek Amrani and Torie Greenberg use their background in wine sales and marketing, respectively, to make delicious Napa wine more accessible They do this alongside their sheepdog, Bruce Wayne, who is equipped with 300 million olfactory receptors in his nose that help sniff out the best batches of grapes. This chardonnay is dedicated to winemaker Malek Amrani’s mom, Elise, and is aged for 14 months in fine French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered.  Spiced apple, grilled peach and vanilla currently pop on the nose, with hints of buttered popcorn and citrus blossom. Corn on the cob and toasted hazelnut flavors lead the entrance, before it brings out flavors that match the earlier nose. Deeply concentrated on the mid-palate, turning rich and elegant, this wine lingers on and on. For all that though, it’s clean and pure and the balance is flawless. 100% Chardonnay

Broadbent North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Origin: North Coast, California
Retail:
$17.95 | Sale: $16.16

Broadbent Selections looks for wines to import that are the very best of their type.  It’s been said that the difference between a good meal and a great meal is that, with the former, you finish the meal thinking, “The food was good.” With a great meal however, you think, “Life is good.” And that’s precisely the goal of Broadbent – to represent wines that gratify not just the palate, but the soul, as well as the people and passion behind those wines. Since its founding in 1996, their focus has always been on family-owned wineries, on places with personality and stories, and on wines that come from the heart. This Cabernet was sourced from two vineyards in California’s North Coast (Mendocino and Lake Counties) and aged for 10 months in a blend of American and French oak.  Ripe and dark-fruited, with notes of vanilla, clove, cedar, and pine needles. Full-bodied, creamy, and luscious with fine tannins and a deep core of fruit.
