Bresolin Asolo Prosecco Extra Brut NV

Origin:
Veneto, Italy
Retail:
$21.95 | Sale: $19.75

Bresolin Bio was born in 2012 through the efforts of Enrico, Matteo, and Davide, three brothers who inherited the vineyards and passion for wine from their grandparents. The brothers’ passion for biodiversity in their hometown led to all Bresolin wines being organic and reflecting the terroir of the Asolo DOCG. The vineyards lie close to the woods, which are inhabited by roe deers, boars and wild birds. Each bottle of Prosecco states the name of a member of our family, people who are essential to the founding of the company. This “Benny” Extra Brut is named after their beloved father, who’s help and presence has been an integral part of the company. Refined, sapid and structured sparkling wine, it reflects the characteristics of the land of the Asolo Hills. Peach blossom, wild rose and passion fruit on the nose and apple, grapefruit and pineapple on the palate, with some savory notes to balance it out. 100% Glera

Domaine Gavoty Recital Rose 2022

Origin:
Provence, France
Retail:
$31.95 | Sale: $28.76

Rosely Gavoty, who has helmed her family’s domaine since her ancestor Philémon acquired it in 1806, oversees 50 hectares of vines on a Roman-era farm in the commune of Cabasse called Campdumy (“harvest fields” in old Provençal), situated along the snaking Issole River in the northwestern sector of the Côtes de Provence appellation. Surrounded by oak and pine forests and bordered by the Issole, Domaine Gavoty is a polycultural farm encompassing 110 hectares in total, and the family has worked the land without synthetic chemicals for decades, obtaining organic certification in recent years. Roselyn’s grandfather Bernard Gavoty (1906-1980) was a renowned classical music critic for France’s newspaper Le Figaro, and the name of this cuvée pays homage to the importance of music in the family’s history. Produced via direct pressing, “Récital” delivers the ethereal color, lip-smacking salinity, and bright fruits one expects from the appellation, but with a sumptuousness of texture and a swelling, clinging finish that is all Gavoty. Grenache, Syrah, Carignan

Domaine La Manarine Rose 2022

Origin:
Rhone, France
Retail:
$17.95 | Sale: $16.15

Domaine la Manarine was created by Gilles Gasq in April 2001. The winery and majority of his vineyards are located within the commune of Travaillan, on a splendid plateau northeast of Orange in the southern Rhone. Gilles is a talented vigneron who has honed his skills working as an assistant to Paul Jeune, the proprietor of Domaine Monpertuis in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Domaine La Manarine practices organic viticulture. Work in the cellar is minimal with little intervention. Fermentations are left to start with indigenous yeasts, with no fining and only a light filtration is utilized if needed. For generations, this specific terroir has been recognized as unique. Recent research has identified the particular character of the underlying soil: a deep layer consisting of more than 60% hard limestone “galets” (large smooth pebbles). This rosé carries a light tint and is vinified completely dry. 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 20% Syrah

R. Lopez de Heredia Bosconia Reserva 2012

Origin: Haro, Spain
Retail:
$46.95 | Sale: $42.26

Don Rafael Lopez de Heredia fell in love with the region and especially the area around Haro, the mythical capital of the Rioja Alta region. He observed that there was a magical combination of soil and climate that would offer the perfect environment for producing wine that would eventually become world famous. Around 1877 he began the design and construction of the complex that is today known as the López de Heredia bodega (winery), the oldest in Haro and one of the first three bodegas in the Rioja region. Viña Bosconia wines come from a vineyard called El Bosque and the name comes from a Burgundy-style wine that Don Rafael used to make with a high percentage of Pinot Noir. This wine has evolved perfectly showing a deep ruby color with shades of orange. Its nose is persistent, full bodied and showing a lot of mature fruit, being dominated by the Tempranillo grape. Its taste is round, smooth, fresh, full of body and persistent. Perfect with roasted and highly flavored meats, lamb and game. 80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacho, 5% Mazuelo and Greciano
