La Staffa “Mai Sentito” Frizzante Sur Lie NV
Origin: Italy
Retail: $23.95 | Sale: $21.55
A blend of Verdiccio and Trebbiano, this spumante wine is produced using the traditional method. Due to the “sur lie” process, this wine drinks like a pet-nat, as it is essentially an Italian pet-nat from the Castelli di Jesi region. Crisp fruitiness, brioche yeasts, and fine bubbles make this wine both delicious and quite adaptable as a food pairing.
Bodegas Lan Rueda Verdejo 2023
Origin: Spain
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95
We love female winemakers at the Locke Store - and this wine was made by two! The vineyards are located 700 meters above sea level in the region of Castilla y León, with plots divided for planting by their unique characteristics. Ripe fruit and herbs scatter across the palate with notes of lime to brighten and add levity. Salinity in the finish makes this an excellent pairing for salads, seafood, and other light fare.
Côte West Skin Fermented Pinot Gris 2022
Origin: California
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95
This Pinot Gris was grown in fine silt and clay loam soils in the Clarksburg appellation of California. Whole clusters were gently hand placed in a tank and left to ferment naturally for 20 days. This extended period of skin contact gives this wine its uniquely pink hue. Early picking and skin contact create a youthful acidity and light tannic grip, while delicate red fruits round out the flavor and offer balance.
Noblesse de Lagrange Grand Vin de Bordeaux
Origin: France
Retail: $69.95 | Sale: $62.95
Saint-Julien is located on the left bank of Bordeaux, making this blend predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon. Gravely soils and the proximity to the Gironde River are highlights of the well-balanced terroir here. The region itself is known for elegant and powerful wines, but this bottle in particular is structured, aromatically expressive and beautifully age-worthy.
