Togni Revaiolo Martì Cuntrare NV
Origin: Italy
Retail:$41.95| Sale: $37.76
Enrico Togni is the last grower of a native Italian grape known as Erbanno. He farms a small piece of land in Val Camonica way up in the hills of Lombardia. Enrico farms organically and biodynamically. He raises sheep and moves the sheep around his 3ha farm in an old 4x4 Fiat Panda. There is so much to love about Enrico, his family, and their wines. We fell in love with his wines starting with his Rosato, made from 100% Erbanno. Production is tiny and we will continue to get very small amounts of his wines. The vineyard was originally owned by Enrico’s grandfather who planted the first grapes in 1960. Enrico left law school to save the family farm and the Erbanno grape from going out of production. ”Martì Cuntare” is a typical local expression, meaning “a child who does the opposite of everything.” Enrico uses the same grapes to make a still Erbanno and this is the opposite of a still wine.
City Limits Pink Street Rosé 2024
Origin: Washington State
Retail: $20.95| Sale:$18.86
Winemaker Morgan Lee was born in Michigan and raised in Indiana. He fell in love with the Northwest at age 17 while on a family trip to Seattle. He took a class on “wine appreciation" in college and ended up applying to Covington Cellars (the parent Brand of Two Vintners and City Limits), where he has now worked as the winemaker for 18 years. The Pink Street label is an homage to Morgan’s brother, Tanner Lee. Tanner fought cancer and lost, but during his years he lived well and loved to skate. The winery’s theme of giving back to charities extends with this wine, as proceeds go to cancer research. This Rosé is a blend of Zinfandel, Primitivo and Petite Sirah.
Campet St. Marie Pinot Noir 2023-France
Origin: Italy
Retail: $19.95| Sale: $17.96
Campet Saint Marie’s wines consist of carefully selected vines in Limoux. Limestone and clay soils coalesce on steep, rolling hills to make up the soil, but it is specifically the cooler areas of the vineyard, (locally called the “Campet”) which contribute to creating their burgundy-style chardonnay and their “terrior-driven” Pinot Noir. Depth and character are added by a meticulous picking of the grapes at the height of their maturity, then the berries are pneumatically pressed to ensure extraction of only the best juice. Each year, a proportion of the wine ages on wood for approximately five months, with regular battonage, to enhance the texture and the aromatic character of the wine, which is then finally assembled.
San Lorenzo Rosso di Montalcino 2022
Origin:
Retail: $41.95| Sale:$37.76
The red wine Rosso di Montalcino Doc Sanlorenzo comes from the youngest vineyard on the farm, which opens like an amphitheater towards the Orcia River valley and the sea. The land is generally clayey and rocky, and the special microclimate at over 400 meters above sea level gives the Sangiovese Grosso cultivated in these vineyards an especially delicate flavor. Vinified in steel vats at controlled temperatures, this wine is then aged for 12 months in wooden barrels of various sizes to reach an optimum equilibrium.
