The Piemaggio estate is located at Le Fioraie, a hamlet on the north-western side of the Castellina in Chianti territory, along the road to Poggibonsi, in the heart of the historical Chianti Classico. This authentic expression of a Chianti Classico has an intense ruby color in the glass with burgundy reflections of age. The nose is dominated by pleasant notes of violets and dry cherry. The palate is medium-bodied with an excellent core of tart fruit and earthiness that provides plenty of dimension.

Trione Flatridge Ranch Zinfandel 2014

Flatridge Ranch is a secluded parcel in the Coastal mountain range, west of the Rockpile AVA. Here the Trione family planted a 10 acre vineyard of unique Zinfandel vines called Saint Peter’s Church. Aromas of briarwood and pipe tobacco give way to blackberry pie, toasted macaroons, and plums. The palate is velvety, supple and rich with a long, satisfying finish. This Zinfandel, a Sonoma County classic, will continue to age for many years to come.
