Issac Fernandez Biutiful Cava Brut Nature NV

Origin: Spain
Retail: $13.95 | Sale: $12.55

This elegant and easy drinking Cava is produced from some of this producer’s best grapes sourced from the Western portion of Requena, from vineyards with a Northern orientation. It could be labeled as a Reserva due to fact that it spends 15 months on lees, as opposed to the minimum of 9 months. It is a Brut Nature, which is to say that no sugar was added at the end of aging on lees. The nose delivers dry apple and pear aromas, while the palate is fairly full and round, with apple and lime flavors. This brut Cava is easily drinkable, food-friendly, and very affordable. Pair this with dinner or a picnic with friends while sharing prosciutto and cheese. This is the perfect crowd pleasing sparkling, so don’t hesitate to grab another bottle while you’re at it and celebrate Mother’s Day. Cheers, Mom!

A subtle breath of wild flowers and aromatic herbs rounds out the delicate fragrance. This pleasantly aromatic Gavi, with its decidedly elegant finish, can develop in the bottle for several years. Not only is this wine an excellent choice as an aperitif, it is also the ideal companion for seafood or vegetable starters and main courses, as well as grilled or baked seafood and fish, white meats and poultry.

This wine is representative of the versatility of old vine Chenin Blanc. Notes of white peach, citrus and pineapple welcome you into the glass. The palate has a rich and ripe mouthfeel balanced with vibrant acidity which contributes to the lingering zesty finish. The freshness and complexity of this wine will enable it to develop gracefully over the next 5 -7 years.
