Cave Carod Clairette de Die NV

Origin: France
Retail: $16.95 | Sale: $15.25

In 1973, Alain and Marcel Carod took over the winery that was founded by their grandfather in the heart of this obscure appellation. The Carod's vineyard's altitude at over 700 meters makes it one of the highest in France, with clay and limestone-based soils. Clairette is one of the oldest grapes used for wine in France and brings delicacy and lightness to the wine while the Muscat gives its typical pronounced sweet and floral aroma. It’s a refreshing balance of fruit and acidity with peach, orange and light floral aromas. This is a perfect brunch bubbly!

Barboursville Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Origin: Virginia
Retail: $21.95 | Sale: $19.75

Barboursville Vineyards celebrates an entirely new generation of this wine at their estate. Planted in sites prepared specifically for their three clonal varieties, these grapes were brought from New Zealand for their adaptability to our warm growing conditions here in Virginia. Vivacious aromas of citrusy freshness join classic herbal notes, with lush kiwi on the palate. The wine finishes long and lively, making it extremely food friendly.

Alain Jaume Tavel Le Crétacé 2016

Origin: France
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95

This Grenache-dominated beauty offers notes of black cherries, wild strawberries, and hints of minerals. The palate is lifted but maintains the elegant style we look for from Tavel. Red currant and cherry flavors cover the palate with hints of aniseed. The perfect level of acidity makes this a great, food-friendly rosé that is substantial enough to
hold its own at the dinner table.

G.D. Vajra "Claré JC" Langhe Nebbiolo 2017

Origin: Italy
Retail: $23.95 | Sale $21.55

This Langhe Nebbiolo is an historic experiment to recreate the style of wine written about by Thomas Jefferson: fairly light, silky and sweet like Madeira, tannic like Bordeaux, and slightly effervescent. The wine is made in the Metodo Ancestrale, meaning fermentation starts in the tank on the skins and finishes in the bottle. Slightly off-dry, high in acid, fully red and slightly tannic from the Nebbiolo grape, this wine is fresh and lively in the mouth but finishes with finesse and length. This is the perfect summer red! Enjoy slightly chilled.

Rocche Costamagna ‘Roccardo’ Langhe Nebbiolo 2016

Origin: Italy
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.55

Built around 1814, Barolo producer Alessandro Locatelli still uses traditional vinification. The Nebbiolo is aged for twelve months in large Slavonian oak casks to create an elegant and harmonious wine. Peppery black fruit aromas unveil a generous but earthy palate with abundant tannins and liquorice-infused berries. The finish is long as the tannins are polished off with notes of rich raspberry, blackberry and cherry. A truly remarkable value.

La Remise de la Mordoree Rouge 2017

Origin: France
Retail: $23.95 | Sale: $21.55

Domaine de la Mordoree is located in the town of Tavel, in the Southern Rhone Valley. In 1986, the brothers Christophe and Fabrice Delorme decided to dedicate themselves to their passion for wine. They started their own estate with the objective to produce the best wines in each appellation while preserving the environment. This sulfite-free vintage has floral aromas with hints blueberry and blackcurrant. Pair with red meats with sauce, grilled meats, charcuterie, and cheeses.
