Cristom Viognier 2018

Origin: Oregon
Retail: $35.95 | Sale: $32.35

Cristom Vineyards has played a unique role in the pioneering of Viognier in the Willamette Valley. They were among the first to grow the varietal with their original estate plantings in 1993, and the first winery to produce an estate bottling of Viognier with their 1996 vintage release. The 2018 vintage is a little unique as far as our Estate Viogniers typically are, both for its racy acidity and backbone, as well as a touch of sweetness. It exhibits aromas of orange blossoms, honeysuckle, clover, and anise. Slightly viscous on the palate, with bright and mouth-watering acidity that support the fruit structure of the wine, it is well integrated and perfectly balanced.

Anima Negra ÀN/2 2018

ÀN/2 is a perfect introduction to the wines of Mallorca. This unique red is made from old vine Callet, Mantonegre-Fogoneu and Syrah fermented in a combination of stainless steel and concrete—macerated only briefly to retain the freshness and flavors of the fully ripe fruit. Aged for just over one year in a combination of 80% French barriques and 20% American oak. Deep ruby-red in color, AN/2 has complex aromas of savory spices, wild raspberries, dark cherry fruit and a hint of violets and smokiness. On the palate the wine is silky and elegant with intense flavors of mature fruit. Well-balanced with a long finish.
