Join us for a complimentary wine tasting this weekend, hosted by Juliet & Kelly!
On Friday from 12pm - 6pm, we are hosting a pop-up tasting with Sean Brannan of Keermont Vineyards. Keermont Vineyards is a family-owned farm located outside of Stellenbosch, South Africa. They are certified sustainable and they follow a natural and traditional wine making philosophy, using indigenous yeast fermentation, no adjustment to acid or alcohol, maturation in seasoned oak barrels, and bottling by hand without filtration.
We will continue tasting their exceptional wines throughout the weekend, along with a few other favorites sprinkled in. Our weekend tasting will start at 11:30am on Saturday and Sunday, and all bottles will be available for purchase at 10% off retail price.

Kennedy Point Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Origin: New Zealand
Retail: $17.95 | Sale: $16.15

Kennedy Point is a beautiful site of 2.5 acres on the southeastern side of Waiheke Island. Their philosophy of following natural viticulture methods allow them to work with premium quality grapes and use a little interventions as possible in the wine making process. They are fully certified by Organic Farms N.Z. as of August 2010, an organic certification program designed for small producers. Each wine they make are fermented with wild yeast, enhancing the complexity and unique qualities of each wine, which reflects the terroir of the small vineyard. Aromas of sweet tropical fruit, with fresh, tangy citrus and pineapple flavors welcome you into the glass. The finish comes through with crisp and clean acidity.

Keermont Terrasse White 2012

Origin: South Africa
Retail: $22.95 | Sale: $20.65

The Keermont Terrasse 2012 is a white blend which derives its name from the terraced vineyards from which the grapes are harvested. The backbone of this blend is Chenin Blanc from a 40 year old un-irrigated vineyard called ‘Riverside’ and Sauvignon Blanc produced from a 23 year old un-irrigated vineyard called ‘Uitkyk’. This is complimented by additional Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier from younger vineyards. This blend offers aromas of apricot, honey, apple and hazelnut and gentle butterscotch undertones. The wine has a soft entry with ripe citrus and vanilla flavors evolving into a lovely long, dry, earthy finish.

Cleto Chiarli Vecchia Modena Lambrusco di Sorbara NV

Origin: Italy
Retail: $18.95 | Sale: $17.05

This dry Lambrusco is super refreshing, with notes of citrus, red cherry, and strawberry fruit. The finish is tart and bright, like perfectly balanced lemonade, washing the palate with each and every sip. In fact, the most difficult thing about this wine may be opening it, since instead of a traditional cage there is a metal clamp over the cork (just insert the knife of your wine key between the clamp and the cork and twist away from you in order to pry it off). A classic pizza pairing!
