Richard and Stephanie Martin, owners of St. Veran’s renowned Croix Sennaillet estate, purchased the historic Mont Epin domaine in 2015. Situated in the commune of Clesse in the Maconnais region of southern Burgundy, Domaine du Mont-Epin specializes in chardonnay, the grape of Macon. This vintage is a fresh and open wine, crisp with apple fruits. Ovum Base Line Riesling 2018

Origin: Oregon
Retail: $24.95 | Sale: $22.45

Founded by husband-and-wife duo John House and Ksenija Kostic in 2011, Ovum is a celebration of the diverse expressions of Oregon Riesling. Their 2018 Base Line has an intoxicating nose of guava, passion fruit, strawberry, sea spray, aloe vera - and yet it is completely dry. Once it hits your palate you feel the weight of a medium to full bodied wine that is similar to a extended lees aged white Burgundy. Native ferments, no subtractions or additions, except for SO2 – extended lees contact 8-9 months, for textural complexity. A rare but impressive wine to enjoy paired with pork, shellfish, spicy food or poultry.

Cupertinum Copertino Riserva 2010

Origin: Italy
Retail: $15.95 | Sale: $14.35

In the Apulian plain, in the center of the Salento peninsula, between the Ionian and the Adriatic sea, extends the territory of Copertino. On this red soil, vineyards and olive trees harmoniously alternate: century-old twisted trunks of olive trees often introduces the characteristic Apulian shrub-vines that produces this strong and generous wine. The result is generous, nicely focused aromas and flavors of red fruit, tar, licorice and underbrush. This wine has a marvelous acid-fruit-tannin balance and finishes long, smooth and breezy. A knockout wine and an exceptional buy for the money.

Chateau Pesquie Les Terrasses Rouge 2017

Remarkably consistent in even the most challenging vintages, Les Terrasses Rouge benefits from being sourced from vineyards scattered around the foothills of Mont Ventoux. These protected microclimates are warm during the day and cool at night. The limestone-rich soils, where Syrah does particularly well makes for a bright, lively wine with enticing red fruit flavors and aromas of garrigue – thyme and rosemary.
