Kennedy Point Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Origin: New Zealand
Retail: $17.95 | Sale: $16.15

Kennedy Point is a beautiful site of 2.5 acres on the southeastern side of Waiheke Island. Their philosophy of following natural viticulture methods allow them to work with premium quality grapes and use a little interventions as possible in

the wine making process. They are certified by Organic Farms N.Z. as of August 2010, an organic certification program designed for small producers. Each wine they make are fermented with wild yeast, enhancing the complexity and unique qualities of each wine, which reflects the terroir of the small vineyard. Aromas of sweet tropical fruit, with fresh, tangy citrus and pineapple flavors welcome you into the glass. The finish comes through with crisp and clean acidity.

Azienda Agricola Gradis'Ciutta Collio Friulano 2017

Origin: Italy
Retail: $26.95 | Sale: $24.25

Obtained exclusively from the Friulano grape: the most representative and well-known white wine of Collio. Since 2007, the name Tocai was eliminated in favor of Hungary; this is was changed to Friulano. Cited for the first time in 1632 in the dowry of Aurora Formentini, a noblewoman of San Floriano, that was carried to her spouse. Three centuries later in 1933, Ernesto Massi wrote “the address of Goriziano viticulture tends to favor white varieties, such as Tocai.” It has always been present at this estate, being one of the indigenous varieties of the Collio. Wild flower, honeyed nut and stone fruit aromas continue on to the structured palate along with orange zest. It closes on a pleasant note of bitter almond that lingers on the finish.

Weingut Stadt Krems Kremstal Riesling 2018

Origin: Austria
Retail: $16.95 | Sale: $15.25

Weingut Stadt Krems was founded in 1452 as a source of revenue for the hospital of Krems and is one of the oldest wineries in Austria. The municipality of Krems still owns the 560-year old winery and is today one of the best in the region. Sourced from mainly primary rock and gravel soils on terraced sites near Stein, this dry Riesling was vinified in stainless steel tanks and bottled after a short period resting on its fine lees. It shows aromas and flavors of ripe citrus, stone fruit, and flowers, with a persistent underpinning of minerality.

Château Castegens Côtes de Bordeaux 2015

Origin: France
Retail: $17.95 | Sale: $16.15

Chateau Castegens’ origins date back to the early 15th century, not long before the famous battle of Castillon took place in 1453, ending the Hundred-Years war between the English and the French. Coming just five miles east of St-Emilion from clay-limestone slopes facing south, this Bordeaux is a steal. Black fruit dominates that palate with plenty of structure and a smoky, spicy character.
