Lyrarakis Assyrtiko Voila 2017

On an island with over 4,000 years of winemaking history, this small family winery was established in 1966
by the Lyrarakis brothers. This single vineyard Assyritiko has crisp apple, stone fruits, and hints of ginger on the nose. The palate provides layers of textures with a rich mouthfeel that is supported by minerality and a natural acidity that leads into a long, fruity, and uplifting finish.

Bergerie Savennieres Clos Le Grand Beaupreau 2016

Domaine de la Bergerie has been a family estate since 1964 and is situated Champ-sur-Layon, just south of the Layon river and about a half-hour south of Angers. This wine has a pleasant floral nose, with clean texture. Bright acidity balances the fruit on the palate, with a spicy & mineral finish that lingers for a delightfully savory finish.

Monte Carbonare is the name of the hill upon which the vineyard that sources this wine is situated. The word "Carbonare" refers to coal and is used to describe this location because the volcanic soils here are black as coal. This wine is elegant and characterized by freshness and aromas of citrus, herbs, and mineral. On the palate it's well-balanced and refreshing with a dry and persistent finish.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Early Mountain Winery has more than 55 acres of vineyard. The pale, salmon color of this wine primes you for the strawberries, white peaches and floral aromas and flavors. The acidity brings a brightness to the fruit, and the wine lingers with wet stone and a pleasant citrus pith character. Created specifically to be food-friendly, there are not a lot of dishes that this rosé won’t complement!

The 2017 is the inaugural Pinot Noir release from Freelander. Aged in French and American oak, it shows baked cherry and violet in the nose. Crisp flavors of red currant, baking spice and vivid strawberries balance the mouthfeel. A touch of toasted oak completes the gentle finish.
