Salasar Cremant de Limoux Brut NV

Origin: France
Retail: $14.95 | Sale: $13.45

Limoux, in the southwest, is reputed to be the first French region where winemaking monks intentionally captured bubbles in their wine. While champagne commands the cachet, reputation and price of a luxury wine, the bubblies of Limoux often offer surprising value and quality. The Salasar bursts with ripe tropical fruit flavors that are carried by the bubbles to every taste bud in your mouth before slowly retreating, allowing you to appreciate the wine itself.

Domaine de la Foliette Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie 2019

Origin: France
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95

Vines more than 55 years old give extra concentration to this generous wine. On the nose, a delicate bouquet with floral and mineral aromas and the smell of lime and melon, in the background subtle nuances of yeast. The palate is delicate with soft fruits a perfect match to oysters and shells such as lobster and scampi, steamed fish, light meat, poultry and salad with vinaigrette.

Château Mondésir-Gazin Bordeaux Blanc 2018

Origin: France
Retail: $17.95 | Sale: $16.15

Overlooking the Gironde estuary, Chateau Mondesir-Gazin uses the moderating influence of the river to balance the ripeness associated with other South-facing vineyards in the region. Aromas of citrus, gooseberry, and honeysuckle welcome you into the glass. The palate has a good amount of texture that is balanced witha bright and refreshing finish.

Colene Clemens Estate Chardonnay 2019

Origin: Oregon
Retail: $47.95 | Sale: $43.15

Colene Clemens was founded in 2005 by Joe and Victoria Stark. The 2019 Chardonnay is balanced with compelling aromas of roasted lemon, kiwi, and a hint of vanilla. The palate is layered with indulgent flavors of pineapple, lemon curd, and a touch of salinity, which leads to a long, elegant finish with just a wisp of butterscotch at the very end. It's fantastic on its own, but would also be a fabulous accompaniment to summer inspired seafood dishes.

Colene Clemens Dopp Creek Estate Pinot Noir 2019

Origin: Oregon
Retail: $34.95 | Sale: $31.45

Joe Stark didn’t know much about the wine business when he started Colene Clemens in 2005, but he loved Pinot Noir. He found a distinctive location on which to plant a vineyard on a rocky hillside in the Chehalem Mountains. It was overgrown with blackberries and brush, but with vineyard manager and winemaker Stephen Goff, formerly of Beaux Frères, he planted 50 acres of vines. The Dopp Creek Pinot Noir is impressive with polished texture and elegant complexity, offering vibrant raspberry, orange peel and spice flavors that gain momentum toward refined tannins.

Stéphane Ogier Cotes du Rhone Le Temps est Venu 2018

Origin: France
Retail: $24.95 | Sale: $22.45

The Ogier family has been rooted in Ampuis for seven generations. From the age of six, current owner and winemaker Stéphane knew he wanted to follow in his winemaker father’s footsteps. The domaine produces wines from 27 acres of vineyards in some of the most famous Côte-Rôtie areas, such as Lancement, Côte-Rozier, and La Viallière. Aside from his Côte-Rôtie wines, Stéphane also produces a Côtes du Rhône (Le Temps est Venu). Heady and meaty and very much more an old-vine Grenache than a generic Côtes du Rhône. Admirable freshness as well as ripe but subtle fruit with fine tannin on the finish. A really admirable representative of this appellation. A great barbecue wine for the summer!
