Zaccagnini Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2020

Origin: Le Marche, Italy
Retail: $14.95 | Sale: $13.46

In 1973 the Zaccagnini brothers established their Azienda Agricola (farm company), driven by a hobby, that became a real passion over time. Mario devoted himself to this activity and passed on his passion to daughter Rossella and to Franco, making the farm a 100% family-owned estate. In recent years spectacular improvements in product quality have been obtained thanks to a careful selection of the grapes, to the research and new technologies.  Verdicchio means “little green one”, in reference to the grape and the color of the resulting wine For the last 10 years the Zaccagnini Azienda Agricola has been practicing clone experimentation of native varietals and  fermentation temperature control.

The wine is refreshing, exhibiting lemon citrus flavors, aromas of flowers and apples, with herbaceous qualities.

100% Verdicchio

Baron Ermengaud Faugeres 2019

Origin: Languedoc, France
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95

Les Crus Faugères is located in the heart of the Faugères Appellation, in the Languedoc Roussillon. Faugeres was recognized as an exclusive quality terroir in 1955 when it was classified as VDQS (Vin De Qualité Supérieure). Because of the specific soil type and the uniqueness of the terroir, Faugeres became its own AOC in 1982.  The Baron Ermengaud cuvée is named after the lord Ermengaud de Fouzilhon. In the 12 century, the Lord gave land, which was located in Laurens Village, to monks, who built a monastic barn. The monks (Benedictine and then Cistercian) used to cultivate the vineyards, using techniques that were quite wise and modern at the time. The people of Laurens enjoyed and benefited from learning their methods.

This Faugeres is dark red with shades of black cherry. A large complexity of aromas allows us to savor a mix of sun fruits and spices. This powerful and full-bodied wine, with a deep consistency, offers an intensity of ripe fruits. It has a long, rich palate on velvety tannins with raised hints of pepper.

80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 5%, Mourvèdre and 5% Carignan

Rubus Reserve Pinot Noir 2020

Origin: Russian River Valley, California
Retail: $19.95 | Sale: $17.95

The Rubus Project was created by Fran Kysela as a way to source & sell incredible wines at value prices. All wines in this international project are hand-selected by Fran Kysela. Rubus wines are fruit driven, true-to-type values that over deliver - a true representation of quality for the consumer at an excellent price. Rubus Reserve Pinot Noir is sourced from the Russian River Valley.

The Russian River always gives a density of fruit flavors.  This wine opens up with complex red raspberry and bright fresh cherry notes that dance on the tongue. The richness carries through a long finish with fine and elegant tannins that would pair great with the first season's grilled salmon or lamb sausages.
