A blend of 95% Fernao Pires and 5% Baga, both indigenous grapes to the Bairrada region from which this wine hails. This sparkler is bright, fun, and is a personal favorite of the wine manager’s. Spontaneous fermentation is used, no filtering is done, no tirage is added; this is an excellent model of Pet-Nat, and it should be- the winery has been in operation and breaking rules of winemaking since 1970. Currently, the original winemaker’s granddaughter, Maria Gomes, runs the estate and makes the wines.
