Cleto Chiarli Vecchia Modena Lambrusco di Sorbara NV

Origin: Italy
Retail: $18.95 | Sale: $17.05

This dry Lambrusco is incredibly refreshing, with notes of citrus, red cherry, and strawberry fruit. The finish is tart and bright, like perfectly balanced lemonade, washing the palate with each and every sip. In fact, the most difficult thing about this wine may be opening it, since instead of a traditional cage there is a metal clamp over the cork (just insert the knife of your wine key between the clamp and the cork and twist away from you in order to pry it off). A classic pizza pairing!

Ameztoi Rosé 'Rubentis' Getariako Txakolina DO 2020

Origin: Spain
Retail: $21.95 | Sale: $19.75

Ignacio Ameztoi is the seventh-generation winemaker at Ameztoi, located in the beautiful coastal town of Getaria on the Bay of Biscay. Over the rolling sea-side hills, Ameztoi has over 50 acres of vines in the ground that are all grown sustainably, some of which are pergola trained -- a technique used to promote good airflow in humid regions. This Txakolina Rosé is a new addition to Locke Store and has quickly become a staff favorite. The grapes are co-fermented for about three weeks in stainless steel tanks before being bottled and chilled to 32° F to preserve some of the residual carbonic acid. This production method gives txakolina its charmingly light effervescence and electric acidity. A beautiful pearlescent pink in the glass, Rubentis brings forth zesty notes of blood orange, ruby red grapefruit, and white pepper, which mingle delicately with seaspray, salty citrus, and streaks of chalky minerality. This incredible value dry Cinsault rosé comes from the Languedoc region of southern France. Crisp and refreshing, we can attest that the value is apparent from the first sip. Strawberry, tart cherry, fresh herb, orange rind and hints of berry blossom aromas and flavors. Fresh, vibrant, and lightly mineral on the lip-smacking finish. This is wine for drinking, and we have enjoyed it with everything from poached fish to grilled burgers.

Fontsainte Corbieres Rosé Gris de Gris 2020 1.5L

Origin: France
Retail: $39.95 | Sale: $35.95

The first vineyards at Domaine de Fontsainte, in the Corbières appellation, were planted by the Romans. Artifacts found in these vineyards, such as an old coin dating from the time of Marcus Agrippa in 25 A.D., are a testament to its antiquity. The original domaine was built around a thermal spring, which was later named for the local, twelfth-century patron saint, Saint Siméon; hence Fontsainte—the saint’s fount. Expressive and particularly tonic, the wine immediately gives off notes of raspberry, cherry and freshly picked strawberries - followed by exotic aromas such as pineapple and mango. A direct and considerable freshness - the density and richness of the fruit mingle with the superb acid vitality giving a wine with a frisson and a magnificent persistency. Stunningly balanced, this rosé is so food friendly that a magnum just makes sense for your next BBQ with friends and family.
