Weingut Albert Gessinger was established in 1680 in the middle Mosel region of Zelting. The Gessinger family initially migrated from Northern Italy in the late 1500s to work as artistic masons on local church construction. However, they soon gravitated toward viticulture, the area's main occupation since before Roman times. In 1820, Peter Gessinger expanded the family's holdings through marriage, making Gessinger one of the first family-owned companies in the middle Mosel to be solely dedicated to winemaking.

Oregon's climate and geography make it a premier region for world-class Pinot Noir, a tradition that began more than 50 years ago. The wines are noted for their nuanced, well-balanced profile, offering a great mix of fruit and acidity that makes them exceptionally versatile for pairing with diverse dishes and cuisines. The region benefits from a long, gentle growing season. The Coast Range mountains to the west protect the vineyards from harsh Pacific Ocean storms. The climate is characterized by warm summers with cool evenings, a long and pleasant autumn featuring sunny days interspersed with the first winter rains, mild winters, and long springs. Specifically, the Dijon clone grapes for Terrebonne Estate are grown in rocky, well-drained soils, primarily consisting of decomposed granite. This terrain results in small, highly concentrated grapes, which are harvested at peak ripeness in late September.

“Quinta do Mouro, situated on the outskirts of Estremoz, was the ancestral estate of the wealthy Zagalos family for centuries. This quintessential Alentejo "quinta" is home to an 18th-century palatial house, charming gardens, arbors, and original 18th-century tanks. In a twist of fate in 1979, a 26-year-old Miguel Louro had a pivotal choice to make at a poker game: purchase a Porsche or Quinta do Mouro—and the estate's destiny was set. Following the tradition of classic Alentejo wines, those of Quinta do Mouro possess a distinct and evolving character. They are known for their serious, austere profile, unique nature, marked acidity, and freshness. These wines also exhibit great aging potential and remarkable gastronomic appeal, growing in complexity and appeal with each tasting and over time.
