Walsh Family Wine Chardonnay 2021

Origin: Virginia
Retail: $31.95 | Sale: $28.75

Walsh Family Wine sources their grapes from six different vineyards totaling fifty-four acres in Loudoun and Clarke County and this specific Chardonnay is harvested from their North Gate vineyard. The North Gate vineyard is also the location of the Walsh Family Wine tasting room in Purcellville. The winemaker, Nate Walsh, describes this wine as a “ripe and fresh-drinking chardonnay that also has great length and texture.”

Susana Esteban “Aventura” Vinho Branco 2022

Origin: Portugal
Retail: $26.95 | Sale: $24.25

Susana Esteban is one of the most renowned winemakers in Portugal and was the first woman to receive the “Winemaker of the Year” award in 2011, followed by “Producer of the Year” in 2022. This wine introduces itself with a butter-like silk almost akin to Chablis, but offers a uniqueness of fresh and opulent fruit with biting minerality. These stunning flavors are the result of blending high-quality Arinto, Antao, and Vaz Roupeiro grapes from Alentejo.

Arpepe “Sasella Stella Retica” Nebbiolo 2017

Origin: Italy
Retail:
$59.95 | Sale: $53.95

Sassella is a sub-region in Northern Italy known for its rocky, steep vineyards and elegant wines that are structured and capable of long aging. Fragrant and elegant, this lovely red opens with blackberry, elderberry, and rose petals. The palate offers cherry, macerated strawberry, and baking spice. The tannins are structural but unobtrusive, making this wine great right now and gorgeous in 10 years.

Andeluna “1300” Cabernet Franc 2024

Origin: Argentina
Retail: $21.95 | Sale: $19.75

Wines tend to be higher quality when the vines “struggle,” and at this site they absolutely do. The “1300” in the name refers to the vineyard’s elevation above sea level- 1,300 meters. Roots dig into rock and sand and vines endure wide temperature ranges, cold nights, extreme daily light, excellent underground drainage, and limited rainfall. The texture of the wine is silky and the palate showcases South American winemaking with szechuan pepper, granite, and earth.
